Rainbow is the watch that made United Jewel: a 42 mm stainless steel case with a Roman dial and hour indexes set in a multicolor arrangement of stones, the whole surface iced edge to edge. It is the one design in our range that women buy as often as men. The Moissanite Edition keeps every line of it and sets 3,302 GRA-certified moissanite stones — 19.2 carats in total — in place of the crystal, so the multicolor indexes that catch the eye on day one still catch it in year ten.

Moissanite, not crystal
This is the Moissanite Edition: the same design as the standard Rainbow, set with moissanite instead of iced crystal. Moissanite is a lab-created gemstone — 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale, refractive index 2.65–2.69, more fire than diamond — and it keeps that brilliance for decades of daily wear where crystal dulls within a season. On a thermal diamond tester it registers as diamond, because it conducts heat the same way; a dual-mode tester or a jeweler's loupe will identify it as moissanite. We sell it as moissanite.

A Japanese quartz movement — battery powered, no winding, accurate to within seconds a month. Battery life is typically two to three years and any watch shop can replace it.
